Tarte-a-li-cious...

The Holiday season comes along bringing with it its twinkling lights, cold chilly air, the beautiful decorations, and the glamorous gift sets! From the numerous ones to choose from I happened to go for the Tarte Sweet Indulgence: 3 in 1 Gift set; hopefully as just a starter ;). This gorgeous set comes with two amazonian clay blushes, three lipsurgence products (a lipgloss and two lip cremes), sixteen eyeshadows, three eyeliners, and two mascaras! Everything is full sized on top of it all :)

But before we get into the products can we just admire the packaging! The box or case for this set totally embodies the glitter, twinkle, and elegance of the holiday season. With a main lavender case the golden foliage sweeps across the entire box as if it were the vine from the pumpkin in Cinderella just coming to life hahahaa... but seriously its stunning. Just like the main box the three thinner boxes inside the case have the exact same pattern on different colours: one is on a light blue, one is a lilac shade, and the last one is an inverted version of the main box where the box is gold and the foliage is lavender.

The golden box contained the three eyeliners which had sparkle or glitter to them. The colours closely resemble a plum shade, a chocolate shade, and a dark charcoal black shade. Along side the eyeliners you get the two lights camera flashes mascara. I have yet to use anything of of the golden box but I am quite looking forward to it since I have heard so many good things in regards to Tarte mascaras which is why I was so happy to find two of them in this set!

On to the blue box and let me tell you there is nothing to be blue about on the inside of this box (eh eh see what I did there... =P ) this little box has the two gorgeous full sized (0.2oz) 12 hour amazonian clay blushes in the shades "pampered" and "savored".  From what I know these two blushes are not apart of the regular collection of Tarte blushes so I do believe these two are exclusive to this box set. But just like the rest these two are definitely just as wonderful in colour and quality. Pampered is a matte blush; in a peachy-pink tone, and savored has a bit of shimmer and is a dusty rose colour.

The lip products in this blue box are the two lipsurgence lip cremes which come in the colours "rare" and "wonder" which again I believe are exclusive to this gift set and the lipgloss in the shade "indulging". The lip products do come in the full sizes and are in unison with Tarte's amazing quality lip products.

And on to the final lilac box, and quite possible my favourite box out of them all. This lilac box contains the sixteen eyeshadows! The eye shadows are packaged into two palettes of eight shadows which continue the foliage theme. The lavender palette is one that I have been going to quite a lot for a sultry purple smokey look. But the amazing thing about this palette is that these eight colours can be combined in so many different ways and pass off for daytime, nighttime, special events, and minimalistic makeup looks!

The lavender palette has both purple toned shades as well as those earthy shades that can complete any look in my opinion. The other awesome thing about this palette is the fact that the colours for the majority are matte but there are also the two shades "dare to be gold" and "show plum love" that have the perfect amount of shimmer to them to dress up any look!

But thats not all folks if your pumped up about this palette wait until you see the blue palette this little guy has eight shades of bronzey/ grey earthy tones that are absolutely stunning! And just like the lavender palette this palette has just as much playroom for day, night, and special event looks. The blue palette just like the lavender palette also has matte shades for the most part and two shimmer shades which are "champagne bubble bath" and "bronze cuff".

And when you have all 16 together and mix and match the possibilities are endless! Another amazing quality about these eyeshadows is how creamy they are, they are just like velvet and blending them is possibly one of the easiest things I have done. Here's a few extra shots of the palettes as the sun was going down :) you can see how the four shimmer shades just twinkle in the light!

Absolutely in LOVE with this holiday set especially with the palettes which are so thin and easy to carry around :D so until next time loads of love and warm wishes for this Holiday season!!

xoxo
